Now, that is really nice! The 50-70 is one of my favorites and can be really great shooters. I have a Shiloh 74 Military rifle and am going to order a Business rifle also in 50-70 with a paper patch chamber.

You've got a beautiful #1 Sporting Rifle. I also like the .50/70 and plan on doing more with that cartridge. Just finished on this end it a round top, 28" round barrel rolling block in .50/70. It was blued and color casehardened by C. Sharps Arms and stocked by me using carved pieces from Treebone. I haven't shot it much as yet but it sure is showing good signs. Shoot sharp, Mike

Very nice Remington. I just happened to cast 110 425 grain paper patch 50-70 bullets this morning. It's a very pleasant round to shoot.

I'm holding off on ordering a mold just yet. I sure like the Accurate 470T and think that a 494 will work fine but I want to play first. Received some .494 bullets from BAC0 that weigh 500 gr instead of the 450 I wanted but its not worthwhile to send back. At any rate they'll tell me what I need to know about a mold.

Looks like a gem of a shooter to me. Is that a C Sharps mid range?

I have a KAL Mould that I'm using, with the bullet OD at .494. I wrap the bullet with 100% 9 lbs onion skin paper. Good luck shooting

Stephen, Please tell me who made your mold for the 425 grain PP? That sounds like a good bullet to have. I'm liking Accurate's 50-470T very much but I'd like to copy the old .50/70 Sporting Load too. Shoot sharp, Mike

Hey Cap, Yes, that is the C. Sharps Arms Deluxe Mid-Range on the tang. I believe it sits on the same base they use for their Hepburn. Shoot sharp, Mike
