So if one from Northwestern Pa wants to get into mid and long range BPCR shooting where would one go in these parts to find matches? I never shot BPCR past 500 meters. I have shot 1000 Yard at Williamsport before with high power. Would like to try BPCR.

They have a long range match at Reade Pa.
Quantico has the occasional match, over in Jersey they shoot shoot some midrange, there is a long range match occasionally at Camp Atterbury Ind. There are also matches in Michigan and Wisconsin

Chaz, if your in NW PA then Reade isn't a bad trip, and it is a very nice range. I am not sure what kind of directions are available coming from your area but if you need some help get in touch and I will help you find your way there. I only live about an hour from the range. If you know how long it would take for you to get to the Clearifeld exit on I80, just add about an hour to that and if your not at the range your dang close.

Reade I hear is a nice range and patronized by friendly and competent shooters that welcome all comers. It is on my list of places to shoot one day. Let us all know how the experience was for you.
If you are not already a mid-range shooter, that would be a good place to start before you take on the Long Range. Several mid-range matches and some load development and make the leap of faith to Long Range. The 600 yard target will help you make that decision.
I can personally vouch that Reade is a very nice range and if you scrounge around on this site you will find some pics of it. I have been on a number of ranges and this one has the nicest pits I have ever seen. It is also very well kept and maintained. The down sides maybe that it is out and I do mean out in the boonies and there is no running water. They do keep porta potties there and a large parking area. Wind is almost a constant there and I can't say for posative but would guess a close constant is 6 to 8 min wind adjustment. Personally I would love to see more people show up to the BP long range shoots.
As far as places to stay, their web site lists local hotels I beleave. But pretty much no matter where you plan to stay your looking at about an hours drive in about any direction for food and lodging.

I am about 2 1/2 hours from Clearfield as I live up by Erie. You wouldn't happen to have a schedule for their shoots?
