Nice weekend - Hiwall55 - 10-17-2021 Was a nice weekend for a couple of shoots. Saturday I Went down to Big Piney for a midrange version of their long range shoot, offhand bucket ,diamond. 400 ,two rectangles. 550 was the octagon and buffalo. Sitting stick match, shoot a 43 out of 48 and got 1st. Went up to Carthage for a 200 yd buffalo match, got 2nd . Yep, nice weekend. RE: Nice weekend - Don McDowell - 10-17-2021 you done well. RE: Nice weekend - Hiwall55 - 10-18-2021 Thanks Don, a good way to end the shooting year. Now for a move down to camp on the River for 100 days of waterfowl season. RE: Nice weekend - Don McDowell - 10-18-2021 That sounds like even more fun. I'm planning on going elk hunting next week, and then hopefully later in November to the Black Hills for deer. RE: Nice weekend - Gussy - 10-18-2021 Sounds great! I wish there was something closer than 90-130 miles from me. Kind of takes the fun out of driving that much for 40-50 shots. I can do that in the back yard! Not any other BPCR shooters in the entire county! RE: Nice weekend - Don McDowell - 10-18-2021 I'm right with you Gussy, the closest organized matches to me are over 100 miles one way. So I choose the matches I attend pretty careful. I would like to be able to go to that Creedmoor 150 match in Tennessee, but it would be something along the line of 40+ plus per record shot by the time I figure all the costs. |
