Gunsmith for Rolling Blocks - mrhunterken - 06-04-2017 Does anyone know if Lone Star Rifles is still working on RB rifles, or does anyone have any information on a gunsmith who can work wonders on a RB rifle? RE: Gunsmith for Rolling Blocks - Don McDowell - 06-04-2017 Lone Star is defunct as far as I know, every since the owner was tragically killed in a hunting accident. Sulphur Gulch gunsmithing, Steve Baldwin, John Taylor, Dave Casey, DZ Arms, Wyoming Armory and Signal Mtn. are a few that I know of that can and do work on rollers. RE: Gunsmith for Rolling Blocks - Don McDowell - 06-04-2017 I also think I saw something that C Sharps is offering custom work and restoration on rolling blocks. Thank You It's very helpful information. RE: Gunsmith for Rolling Blocks - Mike - 06-05-2017 Yes, see the new ad for C. Sharps Arms in the latest Black Powder Cartridge News magazine, it says in bold "Specializing in Remington Rolling Blocks." Sounds like just what the doctor ordered... Shoot sharp, Mike RE: Gunsmith for Rolling Blocks - Caprock - 12-10-2017 Crossno's....Mike Bassett continues the work. RE: Gunsmith for Rolling Blocks - parkergunz - 12-11-2017 I have a friend who had C Sharps build a recreation of Custer's roller on an original action. The work was stunning. Give them a call. |
