Henry RIfle - Kurt - 10-08-2012 I been looking for a new toy. I would like to have a 1866 Henry in the .44-40 and I'm very surprised that Henry does not have it in their inventory. Or haven't I looked in the right places? I don't want to go to Italy and I cant afford the originals. Kurt RE: Henry RIfle - powderburner - 10-08-2012 uberti or cimmaron should have them , henry only makes a crude copy of something not even close to a winchester , RE: Henry RIfle - Kurt - 10-08-2012 (10-08-2012, 09:29 PM)powderburner Wrote: uberti or cimmaron should have them , henry only makes a crude copy of something not even close to a winchester , Hi Dean. I wont go import with this one. The 60 was a week one but I thought it would be nice to kick up some dust with it and I have a 6 gun that has the same caliber so I don't have to carry different rounds. I will probably go with the 92 in the end. Kurt RE: Henry RIfle - Don McDowell - 10-08-2012 Kurt check out CDNN investments, when you look thru their online catalog they have some take down 92's for a very good price. RE: Henry RIfle - Kurt - 10-08-2012 Don. Those are Chaparrals that look like Winchesters. Kurt RE: Henry RIfle - Don McDowell - 10-08-2012 Do they not have anymore of the Winchester 92's? Wouldn't surprise me at the price they had them at. RE: Henry RIfle - Don McDowell - 10-08-2012 Found em on page 75 but all they have in 44 is the short rifles. RE: Henry RIfle - Kurt - 10-08-2012 I saw that take down for $1000. I would just as soon give a little more for a real one. The American Henry Co. to my surprise does not make a 60 model that I can see. They have just about all configurations on lever rifles but not the 1860. Maybe it's because of the weak toggle action.
