Wood for 1877 Shiloh - Randy Bohannon - 04-14-2017

I went the Cecil Fredi route for the wood on my Shiloh 1877. Was pleasantly surprised that the prices were exactly the same only difference is I get to see the wood and not have Shiloh picking for me. Not that they wouldn't do a excellent job I liked having the option.

That's a nice hunk of wood.

That looks like it will really stand out once its been worked and rubbed back. Nice grain.

Thank you gentlemen,I chose this one for the fairly straight grain in the wrist.I've already been through the burly/highly figured wood in the wrist and having it crack. I can recommend Stockmaker in Burbank WA for any kind of stock repairs even though it will never be the same.
