RE: Good find - Les Staley - 04-04-2017 Looks like it will be fun! What load will you try in it? Get a good deal? Dont know about the load, have never shot BPC before, traded a Ruger NO1 in .223 for it. RE: Good find - Les Staley - 04-04-2017 Stick around, these guys will line you out for sure. Sounds like a trade I would have made! RE: Good find - Nuclearcricket - 04-04-2017 I had one of those, sort of, and while I never really put it on paper it seemed to shoot well with a postel bullet and about 68 or so grains of Goex Ctg. The one I had was purchased as a kit a long time ago from Cape Outfitters. It has since been re barreled and is now a 44-77. If there is one fault that I have found with those its the extractor. Now I don't know about factory built guns but the one I had the extractor would roll back far enough that you could easily chamber a round in front of the extractor. A little welding and some fitting and that doesn't happen any more. My guess is a little trigger tune up perhaps and you will have a nice shooting rifle. You may also want to seriously consider replacing that rear sight at some point in time. Sam |
