This target was shot this morning with my Shiloh 45-90. Target posted at 200 yards is the 300 yard reduced. This load is over 1 year old and used neck sized Starline brass, CCI BR primers, 85.0 grs. Swiss 1.5 fg, .060 vegi card wad and a BACO 459-545 grain Creedmoor #JIM 459545C4. Seated with 1 and a half grease grooves exposed and blow tubed between shots. Ray Hanson was kind enough to share it with me at a Lodi Creedmoor match and it shoots pretty well. made a couple mistakes with sight alignment but I'm pleased with the results. No wind but changing light conditions and good humidity for the blow tube.

Thank's for posting it Don. 20 shots started with the middle 10 at 9, 10 at 10 and a 9 at 9. Shot the 10 on the line, 9 next to it,followed by a 9 at 9. Started to leak out the left with the 9 at 9:30 and the 9 at 10. Over corrected and shot the 10 at 3. Split the difference and center X, screwed up and shot the 8 at 3, back to the X at 12 and made no more sight corrections and just shot. 10 at 12 and X at 12 followed by the low 9 at 5:30. Finished up strong. The core group is 1.5 vertical by .75 horizontal. With the 8 at 3 and the 9 at 5:30, 2 9's leaked out the left, That is about the best I can do with Iron sights now-days.

The wind was very light but there was some changing light conditions on the target face and one either shot or waited it out. A cut in the bank behind the 100 yard impact area at 10 O'clock can allow some unseen wind changes. Best to have a wind flag posted in the area to pick them up. Those out of the group were mostly due to poor sight alignment. That load does shoot pretty well! X and 10 ring on the 300 yard reduced is kind'a of small! There are 13 shots into the X and 10 ring.

Just for fun-Try a paper coffee filter 'wad' under the powder and a .060 LDPE 'poly' wad in place of your fiber.
Are you annealing the case mouths?

LG, I'm going to have to try the "coffee filter" sometime and see if it makes a difference with the CCI BR primers. I do use a note card under primer card when using the Federal LP Match primers and they shoot very well. I have loads that use the .060 poly or vegi OP wads and they all work well protection the bullet base from gas cuts. I was annealing the brass every time and now settled on every 5 reloads with a light anneal and brass is soft with a slight bit of spring back and seems to be working well. After fire forming I only use a neck sizer die and with both greaser's and paper patch bullets things are working nicely. How are your tests going using the GOEX OE powders? My rifles really like this powder.

I have almost 50lbs of Old "E" 2F on hand, all the same lot number.
Could not be happier with it.

Told you you'd like it! Wish they would make it in 1 fg for my 50-90 and those 45-110 guy's. It really is a very good powder.
