It's been wet out here on the "wet coast" too, creeks and rivers are high but containing things for the most part. Shoot sharp, Mike

Rick-With the soil you have there. What's your SWAG on how long will it take to soak up that standing water?
We got over 1/2" of rain here Friday, and that's rare for the Mojave Desert.

Lumpy

If you'll enlarge the photo by clicking on it you can see a white stake out at the road way. Just to left of that is a highway department 30" concrete drainage pipe and the lake on east side of the road got so high the water backed through that opening. I'll have a vertical closure gate on that pipe across the road when the lake drains down. The water in this photo is already down to the highway and by this afternoon late it will be drained out of my yard...if the lake continues to recede! Normal pool stage for the lake is at the base of the cypress trees seen in this photo whereas right now it's up against the highway shown!

Enlarge the photo by clicking on it and observe in the background the boathouse of a friend on the east side of the lake! Water is over the platform and at normal pool stage the water is six feet below his floor level! Oh...I've seen a few 12-14# bass caught out of this lake and 2# white perch are common!!Big GrinBig Grin
