44/77 in action - Stephen Borud - 07-23-2012 http://m559.photobucket.com/albumview/albums/stephen74-2009/photo-8.jpg.html Here is the 44/77 making smoke! I was shooting at 350 yards! Stephen Borud RE: 44/77 in action - Don McDowell - 07-23-2012 Awesome. How did it do? RE: 44/77 in action - Stephen Borud - 07-23-2012 http://m559.photobucket.com/albumview/albums/stephen74-2009/photo-9.jpg.html Lube after shooting 38 rounds without wiping! Stephen RE: 44/77 in action - Stephen Borud - 07-23-2012 It did great Don! I still have rounds loaded with KIK Fg I have not shot yet! Stephen RE: 44/77 in action - Don McDowell - 07-23-2012 Load details man, we need load details . lol RE: 44/77 in action - Klaus - 07-24-2012 Hi Stephen nice pics what kind of target you punched on this distance ? Klaus RE: 44/77 in action - Stephen Borud - 07-24-2012 Klaus I was shooting rocks on a hill side at different distances! This is the best way to practice for hunting as far as I'm concerned! I like shooting at rocks that are the size of antelope vitals! Don nothing special about my loads! 75 gr of express Fg, .025 circle fly was, 3/16 lube, .025 CF wad and a 410 gr pp brooks bullet! I really like this rifle Don! Stephen RE: 44/77 in action - Don McDowell - 07-24-2012 I'm thinking beins as the only match I might get to shoot before hunting season this year is Ekalaka, I may go ahead and peel the target sights off of my gun and go to work with the elephant ivory blade and ladder sight . I can always shoot a gong match with those sights if I get to go to one, and we got a couple of monster buck antelope needin shot.... I know how you feel about your rifle, I am totally flumaxed as to why the cartridge died, unless it just didn't take well to smokeless powder way back in the day.... RE: 44/77 in action - Stephen Borud - 07-25-2012 Sounds like a good idea Don! Post a picture of the elephant ivory sight! I would like to see it! Stephen |
