How does it shoot?

RE: Chinese Landed in Beckley - rdnck - 07-08-2012

So what is it anyway?

RE: Chinese Landed in Beckley - Creeker - 07-08-2012

The rifle if, memory serves, is a copy of the CZ452. While the CZ American has both action bolts in the receiver some of the CZs & this JW-15 have one bolt in the action & another that screws into a tendon which is dovetailed into the barrel. For the money these rifles normally shoot pretty good. I fired many 5 shot groups using a 3X9 Bushnell Banner scope & various ammunition. As long as I cheeked the rifle correctly each shot & repeated the bags/rest ride it would shoot 3/4 inch groups at 50 yards with stuff it liked.

So you're saying that this is a pre WWll rifle?

No, I have no idea when the rifle was produced but I would think in the last 20 or 30 years. A short search just now came with nothing as to dates of production.

Don this rifle was a loaner from the LGS much like the Kimber. I could purchase the rifle should I like but for some reason the barrel bolt turns me off. I'd rather both action bolts were in the action.

It does however have a very nice action

The forearm feels good for a sporter

The buttstock grip though is rather thick

I sell the LGS their bullets plus I've known the owner for years. I give him some 45 Keiths from time to time like I'm sending you. He loves the things plus I do a hand cast button nose WC 38 that makes him weak in the knees................so I can take most things there for a drive. HEE HEE
