Also-Are you checking the bullet run-out of the loaded round? You want a T.I.R. of .003 or less.
Bullet run-out plays a bigger part in consistent accuracy, than many folks think.
What kind of bullet 'speed' are you seeing?

I haven't got out the blocks and dial indicator. I've caught the little buggers just before rolling of the table and didn't notice a wobble. [emoji16]. I was hoping to find something with out setting neck tension and checking run-out . Something about slip fit that is just Kool. But I know your right I'm sure I will eventually bow to the moa God's . I've only run one load PJ 62 grs swiss through the chrony 1119 fps. See above.

Biggest thing to keep in mind when your shooting this old school stuff, things that won't even make one of your high-power bullets blink, will make these old lead pumpkins puke their guts out. Relax and enjoy the ride.

Don't know about a scope, but it takes 2-3 inches more sight staff beyond the 1000 yd setting with a soul sight.

1119 fps is pretty SLO.
Put enough powder in that case so you compress at least 1/8-3/16 in.

Keep in mind Lumpy he's looking at silhouette loads, and all he needs is enough accuracy to keep a nice group on the turkeys with enough umph to take a ram of the rail.

At that speed, any cross-wind will be more of an issue.

Also with the windage adjustments available in both the front and back mounts on that scope it would have to be hurricane force winds to keep from "shading" the target to the windward side.
