Another day or two at these temps and there won't be any open water!
High today is 15*.
It must be getin' cold enough up north to move the geese, big flights of Canadians every day at dusk, all goin' south!

Jim the River is FROZE up, we busted ice till Wednesday then we put the air boat motor on,500 HP big block Chevy and have been using that. We went 3 miles down on top the ice till we found an open hole,then went hunting.
We definitely need some mental help as it was -15 wind chill.

Perfect - I'll be your next door neighbor anytime (well maybe not a close neighbor if it's in your line of sight). We are on the Front Range in Colorado and the unintended consequence of legalizing marijuana is an influx of people like never before. We are thinking of pulling up stakes and going somewhere close to a good shooting range or have enough property in the mountains to shoot out my front door and then just dig in. I looked on and off many times for that GFR tune after my brother played it for me in the '70s. Just found it on YouTube yesterday. It probably won't be there long though.

Sgt Dog's place is really nice. For shooting, he has too many trees! Don and I have it figured out. Find a place or make a place that's nice in an area that not as many people will join you. Meaning wide open like Wyoming has to offer. Don't forget to brag about the wind and winter, tends to filter out the unwashed. [attachment=1011]
