RE: Hey Kurt - Kurt - 11-29-2012 Rick. You cant hardly go wrong when you use the lathe to bore the hole in the rods they will be center. Looks like I have to cut off 3" off the 4 I have and make mine a 6 piece rod to get it to fit the possible bag
RE: Hey Kurt - Brownie Nash - 11-29-2012 Guys I have had Steve Rhoads build a Rolling block rifle and line a 22 target rifle for me. He did a top notch job and did them in the time he quoted. You have to watch a guy like that. Never can be sure of them. (Hee Hee) Regards Brownie RE: Hey Kurt - Trapper - 11-29-2012 I have a cleaning rod for a M1 Garand in my possibles bag. Had to put two kits together to make it long enough. If fits in a little canvas bag about 3" x 7". Works great and as Lumpy said you can just drop one section down the bore to knock out a stuck bullet. Trapper RE: Hey Kurt - Kurt - 11-30-2012 I have several M1 rods, I guess If it was an emergency I would use it in my Sharps, but only then ![]() If it rains again tomorrow I will get the job done.
