RE: W/B a .44 barrel - Kurt - 12-23-2014 Yes Mike. I ordered .438/.446 RE: W/B a .44 barrel - Mike - 12-23-2014 (12-23-2014, 12:51 AM)Kurt Wrote: Yes Mike. I ordered .438/.446Okay, what did you get? RE: W/B a .44 barrel - Kurt - 12-23-2014 Mike Paul stamped the barrel 16 twist .4495 groove. When I picked the rifle up I asked John are you sure you put the right barrel on this? and he said I don't get to many .44's with a .438 bore they are all .429-.432" very seldom a .438" I the asked what did the bore measure? and he pin gaged it .438" That makes the groove almost .002" per side deeper then what I ordered. This might not be an issue. I haven't shot it enough yet to know for sure. Now I'm eager for you to shoot it just to see how it acts. Shoot sharp, Mike RE: W/B a .44 barrel - Kurt - 12-23-2014 Mike I will start a post on reloading with what I have found so far.
