Hanz , PM me your address I can send Sample of what bullets I've been tinkering with. It's nice to see them fly before ordering a expensive mold .

Well the snow started to melt. Here's a few I found behind the 20 to 1 and 16 to 1 targets. All 70 gr swiss 1 1/2 . Not a big difference .001 less width in the nose just in front of the first band with the 16 to 1.[Image: 79a7084ca8fe74800725a1a44ba8eccb.jpg]

What's the nose dia, as cast?
What are they now?
Surprised to see the rifling marks on the 16/1 alloy.

Baco 510c nose as cast .448
16/1 .449
20/1 .450

Paul Jones 530c as cast .448
16/1 .451
20/1 .452

Brooks 560c as cast .448
16/1 .449
20/1 .451
No leading with any load or bullet .
One 5 /1 Napa patch between shots
4 inch pure lead Electric conduit and I got the tin from Rotometals. Pretty sure the
mixes were accurate.

I got mixed up the dark 560 Brooks bottom left we're not 16/1 they were 50/50 WW and lead. Maybe I'm mesuring the wrong place on the bullet. Or I'm reading it wrong. The rifling just barely touch the nose.
I read .449 50/50 ww and lead

The PJ 530 20/1 .451

I would call the top picture .4495, and the other .451.
You are ck'n in the correct area.
Does the rifling make contact, all around the nose?

The 50/50 ww 560 brooks doesn't touch. All the 16/1 and 20/1 bullets engrave evenly especially with the neck tension and Redding comp seating die.
