No longer a classless shooter

RE: No longer a classless shooter
No they said the bptr championship would start on 9/14/14. Going to depend on the price of fuel, it's closer for me to go to Raton than it is the Q, and not much further to go to Raton than Ekalaka. Bang for the buck don't you know...
Wyoming state 22 bpcr chamionships might be in conflict with your long range for us. Then there's the Rocky Mtn. Regional bptr matches, sometime in August, unless he decides to run it right ahead of Raton, to catch more folks traveling in.
You really need to think about that world championship , sometime in late May.
You guys really need to take in a "pit" match, it's a challenge, and there's no bs about whether the radios work, or whether some idjut can't see enough bullet strikes on the target to match the number of hits called, nor does it matter if someone sits and stares off into space between shots. Everybody is shooting under the same time constraint, and you pace your shots the way you want. And when the target comes back up, you know exactly where the bullet went..
I enjoy the "pasture" matches a lot, but I honestly believe I enjoy the "pit" matches more.

Can't vouch for what the web site says, just repeating what the NRA Competitions folks in charge of the bptr and bpcr matches at Raton told us at the shooters meeting , and that is that sight in for the bptr matches will be Sunday Sept 14, 2014.
Go to the Colorado Rifle Clubs, site and watch their bpcr schedule.
Never been there, but I understand they shoot pit matches at Missoula and maybe Butte?
There's a number of midrange matches in Minn, MI, Ws, and Ia.

Which ones would you suggest me to cut back on running, or helping run?

I'll make it easy, I could eliminate 2, the World Championship in June and the Long range in August. That's 2 less shoots in the area though. Not going to be a popular decision.

Well, it would actually only be one less shoot in the are because you know there is another one on June 21-22.

I'm going to try my best to make Raton next year. I have a feeling if I don't go I might not have a chance to shoot it in the future the way the entries are declining every year and if the entries keep declining; the NRA's bottom line is the $$$ these matches take in. If the F class matches have a higher attendance they might shut out the Blk powder.

Kurt you'll like that match at Raton. As you know it's a nice place to spend some time and do some shooting, the match was very well run. Altho they did have a bit of a lapse in the awards handed out, it was still a great match to shoot in.
