It was pretty nice to see a bunch of non familiar regulars up there getting the place awards.
Conditions were from nasty windswitch to perfectly still, to steady slight to heavy winds.
Good time was had by everybody I talked to.

RE: Who's got their.....
There was a few tense moments Thursday night, and some had flashbacks to the 05 storm but all was well, the outhouses stayed up right, the ground was soft enough you could get the crossticks set without much fuss,
They were down about 70 shooters this year, and there were 91 first timers. So quick math says there's about 170 folks that either didn't come because of the weather or the lack of primers or some other such thing.

Well I had a great time!!...It was my first Quigley and I was amazed at the way the match was run....AMAZING. The best part was the shooting and the relaxed atmosphere at which the shooting was done.

Loved the daylight to dark shooting scheduleBig Grin Even on the morning of the match guys roled out the big guns and started hammering steel, right up until 30min before the match started.

Thank you everyone that stopped by my Leatherworks booth and introduced themselves! Nice to be able to put a face to some names.

I was pretty pleased with my overall shooting, but I dropped a couple shots that knocked me out of the top ten, My very first target was second in line for the bucket, and I got way too excited and dropped 4 hits on it so that pretty much took me out of the running for big Montana plaque with my first 8 shotsTongue

Sure was fun!!Big Grin

That's one thing about the Quigley, if you miss 1 shot per target , you MIGHT be in the top ten. If you drop more than one shot per target, you just get to sit and hope for some good fortune in the door prize drawings. Smile

RE: Who's got their.....
No crying towel needed here for me. I shot the best I ever have and no I didn't win anything other than an 8 straight pin on the 417 yd rectangles, it was enough . I use the score page to tell me where I am at in relationship to where I want to be. This coming year my offhand is going to get more work and practice. My FFg KIK load of a 101 grs with a grease cookie and a 533 gr ppb allowed my repeatability with 2 damp patches to adequately control fouling issues. Also going to focus on selecting a new frt insert to use to my best advantage on the white bullseye of every target. Weather was great and got to see my old friends as well as make some new ones. bobw
