Happy Birthday Rick!
Ol Rick has 6 months on me and I just dont generate enough wind to blow out all my candles, but he has the advantage all he has to do is crank up the old yellow bug bomber to blow all his out

RE: Happy Birthday Rick Mulhern
Thanks guys! Yes sir....been a dang good day cuz I'm looking down on the daisies instead of up at the roots! My son told me this morning...."Well Dad....you've got 19 more to go to match the 'Grampster'"....meaning my Dad. Gotten several calls so far from kids and grandkids so yes....it's been a good day! No cake! No gifts! That's the way I want it; just a hug from the kids is all that is warranted! But if I had a cake.....I'd blow the fire out with this:

This is my son Brandon's SNJ-5 and man...does it fly great! Next time he and I go up I'm going to sit in the front, let him do some aerobatics while I film and I'll put here in a short video! It really does fly great and is fast! It's slick...all over! He's eventually going to put it back into USAAF color scheme which is what it was in at date of manufacture in 1944. He recently bought me a J-3 Cub and his crew has been going through it the past ten days doing a little maintenance work it needed. Gives me something to shoot coyotes out of! The backseat and a Benelli auto shotgun with 000 buck works great!
Thanks guys for the HAPPY BIRTHDAY! God bless you and AMERICA as well!!

Mulhern, A very Happy Birthday to you a day or 2 late, but it's the thought that counts; according to my bride. And keep up the good shootin', too.
Best Regards

Been wanting to shoot for a week but it's been blowing like a BANSHEE and staying too busy keeping grandkids to make it to the range!

RE: Happy Birthday Rick Mulhern
Rick,
Those two look like a natural in that J-3.
I spent quite a bit of time in one of those.

RE: Happy Birthday Rick Mulhern
Kurt, Yes the J3 is a good airplane. The only thing I disliked is that it seemed to have a built-in head wind, especially if one needs to get someplace in a hurry.
