DZ Hepburn Rifles
Just to let you guys know that have a DZ Hepburn rifle.
I talked to Dan to order a .22 and he told me that he had to end his hobby making these fine rifles because of his very busy business keeping up with it.
He said he stopped making these rifles six months ago.
Dan gave me a tour through his shop when I picked up my #3 and I never seen so many CNC machinery in one shop.
This morning I placed an order for parts that might give out with use.
I ordered a complete set of springs and screws, things that will give out in time with heavy use.
I have the firing pins on hand and even those I can make myself if needed.

RE: DZ Hepburn Rifles
I had always wanted a DZ Hepburn rifle for years but I’m a tightwad and was always on the lookout for a bargain instead of forking out the $4,600 for a new one. I got a call last fall from a friend of mine that said Dan was going to stop making them. I called Dan and he said he had only 2 actions left so I put my order in for 1 in 40-65 caliber. I will pick it up next Friday and can hardly wait. It will be used for silhouette shooting unless I decide to keep it unfired and put it in the safe for awhile. I will post photos next weekend when I get it.

Kevin,
A rifle is made to fire and enjoy shooting. It does no good buried in the safe
I had a hard time justifying one also but a retired Plumber needs a plumbers rifle. I change so many flush handles in the the 35 years in the trades that it just seemed right to still push that flush handle on a Hepburn
The .40-65 is a good caliber. Enjoy it and Dan build a fine rifle.

Yup!! it's a DZ Hepburn
Kevin, you're most likely have the last one that Dan will build. He told me that he will no longer make them.
He just build then for a hobby and from what I see on mine his workmanship shows that he loved building them.
