Time to continue load development with my .44-77.

At Harris they always open the range on Friday afternoon. Many, including myself, take advantage of the opportunity to get or confirm sight settings. In my opinion, this helps things run smoother on match day, especially for long range matches. It’s also great for shooters who’ve never had the experience to get some helpful instruction and feel a little more comfortable.

Perhaps we could have such a practice on Friday this year at Lodi in August if the .22 match is done at a reasonable hour.
Could ask Cliff about that???

Friday practice comes up every once in a while, but it has never happened so that should answer how Cliff feels about the idea. Not saying things can't or won't change, just saying what has been. Never hurts to ask but remember with Mark out of the picture Cliff is short on help mostly. Lodi is a big match to run without help.

Lodi is the only place I've been that does NOT have Friday practice.

Jim,
You are tight about the Lodi situation. I recall that especially now, on Friday, the electronic target uprights have to be removed to prep for Saturday match.
Of course any prac.tice would have to happen After the Elec Tgt uprights are removed.
And target repair is also usually done then, too. SO, even shooting at the steel in front of the target berm would not be done while the guys are doing the target repair.
DARN. Lodi is complicated.....

Meanwhile, perhaps I can arrange for some extension to the July 16 gong
match for some added "ammo testing" at 600yds.

Arnie,

If there are two separate relays at 600 yards on the 6th of August I should be able to get a good idea how things are working.

On Aug 6 It will be our intent to have two relays because there has to be a shooter in the pits for each one on the line.
Ideally, if we could have three relays, so there could also be a spotter /scorer.
This "match" is really a squadded practice, load testing, whatever.
