Length does matter
I had the Brooks dual diameter base pour mould shortened. It was not holding beyond 300 yards quite as good as I had hoped so it’s now shortened to 1.41
I took the old version out of the case and replaced it with the new
82 grains of OE thin napa rubber gasket wad and the muzzleloader original dry lubed felt wad
Here’s what the target shows at 600 and it’s the least amount of vertical to date

RE: Length does matter
Was going to try at 1000 this morning but with the winds hedged my bets and shot 800. Winds quartering in from about 10 o’clock
10-12 minutes left on the sight and away we go
