My that’s a beautiful rifle Kurt! I can see why you want to proceed with care.
This is the problem with having a bore scope. We get to know the truth about our rifle bores. I had a Bullseye 45 quit shooting for me once. I swore the bore was slick as could be. Scoping it showed me the problem. It looked like gator skin inside. I had quite a time getting it clean and it was only 5” long.
I’ve had some luck with bronze wool on a brush but for my rifles turpentine has done the trick.
Pure copper Chore Boy pot scrubbers were common with Bullseye shooters.
I sure like paper patch. Takes away the lead worries!
