Nothing to do

RE: Nothing to do
Yes, Back then that Lyman gang mould was still a good quality mould but my pistol bulls eye matches were over in my location and I needed a core mould for swaging my large rifle bullets and I could replace the Lyman for less than having a core mould made so that was the choice. For no more then I shoot the .38 anymore it might be just as well to order a bulk box from BA and be done with it. I have a hard enough time casting rifle bullets. By this time of year I would have 7K plus rifle bullets cast for the season but now I have less than 600 for this season.
I have several of Tom's moulds in brass and iron and they are top quality pistol and rifle moulds. I been asking him to program his CNC for rifle bullets with a .250" round nose instead of the flat me plat, but no go. Smile

RE: Nothing to do
Hi Kurt and all, I mention this in secret ;-) but for this volume of .38s I have stooped to purchasing Berry's plated slugs in bulk. Cabela's sells bulk cast/lubed .38s too. The reason for this bit of expediency came about after my wife completer her CCW course. She picked a Ruger revolver from ones I offered and is capable of emptying .38 Brass faster than one could crank a Dillon press. An indoor range session, Our LGS has range rented by the hour. That's about 100 count empties when the little wife gets warmed up. I'm proud as heck as in near 60 years time married this one event she's taken seriously, Hmmmm don't think she's telling somtin ;-) M2

Smile good for Her....no both of you.

My Wife never shot but in 2018 she asked me if I had a hand gun she can handle. Well she is left handed and all my light shooting pistols have a target grip with thumb rests and the 1911's and the .44's I don't want her to start with the recoil so I said lets go shopping Smile
She went over the large selections of pistols and some revolvers but she picked the Ruger SR-9 because of it's light weight and short barrel. When we picked it up it was raining but she wanted to stop at the range to shoot it.
I showed her how to load the magazines and got her familiar on how to hold it and worked on the sight picture. I must say I'm glad to have picked up 200 rounds before we left the gun shop LOL.
Well I could see that she was struggling pulling the slide back and I said I don't think this is for you why don't we go shopping again tomorrow for a .22. You will have more fun with that.
Well this time she picked out the SR-22 Ruger. Man am I glad I had a case of .22 Norma's between her and I shooting my High Standard The Victor that case didn't last long and she is really keeping them in a 2" paster at 20 yards.
The little .22 was a good move for her. Since I got started reloading for the S&W 52 .38 SPL that slide works very easy I think I will let her shoot it.

RE: Nothing to do
As to places to get bullets, https://www.diamondkbrass.com/ sells berrys coated bullets and has 148 dewc, they are listed at $71/500. Don't know if its a good price or not. Classic Firearms lists a good selection of rimfire ammo, https://www.classicfirearms.com/ammuniti...fire-ammo/. I don't know how the prices stack up but it might be worth taking a look.
I have purchased stuff from both places and their quality seems to be ok, but with the current state of things, hard to say how long or how fast they can get stuff out the door. A little bit ago they had a bit of a push to sell
Aguila 500 Round Brick Match Pistol 22 Long Rifle (LR) 40 . They put a vid up about the ammo. Basically it showed that it would run in a semi auto rifle and a semi hand gun. No statements on the accuracy.
