RE: C Sharps 44-90 Straight
Good for you. Trust you've got somewhere you can 'stretch its legs' once it arrives ? I gather this is the the Remington straight at 2 6/10" ? Can you get away with necked down 45/100 cases for this or do they require more specialised brass ? Let us know how she runs. If we can't shoot... I'm quite happy to read about others that can.

JB,
The .44-90 ST is I believe 2 4/10" and is made from .45-90 brass. It is supposed to be a dream to work with and very accurate. Those using it in competition have worked very hard at keeping it a secret.
Ernie Stallman was a big advocate of that Remington cartridge.

It is the 2.4 in version based on a necked down 45-90 case. One pass through a 40-70 straight (from 45-70) does the trick. That die is bored straight through so serves both.
The rifle is C. Sharps rendition of a Roughrider and has a heavyweight barrel that will bring weight nearly 12 lbs. 30 in 18 twist barrel. No frills except an upgrade in wood and the pewter forend.
