Good deal, glad to know that Kurt, didn't know if that type bullet would have a 'suppository' effect on animal tissue.

Stephen, Thank You very much for posting the pics, I appreciate it greatly.

Pic #1 is the rifle at the 500 yard gong and 24 pieces of fired brass in a loading bock with one remaining round sitting on the muzzle.

Pic #2 is a closeup of the five round group at 500 yards, with the bullets landing close to one another the last shots cancel out the splat from the ones ahead of it, it may appear to be a four shot group, but I can assure all there are five hits there.

Pic #3 is a five round group on the 400 yard gong, danged if it doesn't look like a three shot group ; ]

I'm having a blast with this bull barreled C Sharps 50-90, what a hoss, and damned if it doesn't knock the crap out of those gongs when it lands!Big Grin

That looks good! I would call you a hard holder for sure.

Just don't take that rifle to a silhouette match. I used the .50 at the Shiloh invitational and during the days before the match I got some sight settings and shot the head off one of the turkeys. Took it to Kirks shop and welded it back on. The next day I shot a leg off a Ram. Took it and got to welded back on. During the match I shot the Chicken swinger and unhooked it Smile I hit a couple chickens and one flew over the berm. I haven't been invited since LOL.

LOL, Thanks Kurt, it was surely fun, not as much fun as you had burning 7018 rod at Kirk's shop I betTongue, and good thing my 50 is a C Sharps, Shiloh probably wouldn't let me in the gate with it anyway.

Gentlemen, if I may ask an amateurish question, could drilling a buttstock and adding weight, or taking weight from any other part of the rifle somehow change the overall harmonics of an otherwise good shooting rifle?

LOHY 7018 is a pretty easy drag rod most can lay a good beed with.

Don't mess with a rifle that shoots well!!!
