RE: Right on schedule
Saw a young hen sharp tail grouse today, won't be long till they get gathered up on the leks. Lots of fun to watch when that happens. Hope the dang coyotes leave their nests alone.

Don, yup close to hearing the booming in the hills here as well. We have both sharpies and chickens. A darn good challenge in the fall with a ML shotgun. Got flooded out and staying in town so don't know if they started here or not.

Dang hate to hear about the floods. Been wondering how you and Charlie Mulhair were fairing in that mess.

Don, have not heard anything on Charlie but did hear that Steve Teadetke (sp?) from Niobrara, lost a few buildings, tractor, atv, etc. but that everyone was safe.

Here the frost is out partway and the top layer is mud with no bottom everywhere. Can't get to bales to feed. We are still in town, so I walked in to our house yesterday to check on things after parking in one of our pastures. County roads have culverts out here and there. If we get any rain will be back to the flooding over roads again. But we are fortunate compared to a lot of people in NE.

It's a horrible mess down river. The tragedy of all the losses is just mind boggling and gut wrenching. One of the shooters I know lost everything.
