Shooting glasses
We hear a lot about getting older and having to migrate to scope shooting, due to eyesight.
I'm thinking that's a false security blanket.

I have been frustrated for quite sometime over finding glasses that will let me shoot better, but what I've found is that regular prescription glasses whether they are progressive or standard bifocals, just don't cut it, especially nowadays when finding a large frame like the old B&L and Rayban from days long gone is near impossible.
The solution? Decot shooting glasses after reading a few good comments about them and noticing a few shooters using them I swallowed the checkbook and order a set of their Hy-wide's in the action kit.
After a short discussion with the lady on the phone about frame size bifocal placement etc, the wait began.
Boy howdy, I am super impressed with the clarity and no fuzzy spots that regular rx glasses give you.
The action package came with a set of yellow, bronze and orange lenses.. Haven't used the orange ones yet, but the yellow and bronze have really proved their worth to me. The orange lenses may prove useful shooting trap etc, I just haven't shot any of that since getting these glasses.
So if you're having trouble seeing the sights, and falling into the I'm old and need a scope doldrums give a set of the Decot's a try.

Thank you Don! I’m going to give those serious thought. Never liked scopes, period, on any rifle. My sons are convinced I’m a dinosauer.

Mike you can order just the frame's and one set of lenses, but I liked the option to be able to adapt to differing light conditions.
Really can't believe how well those flat lenses helped with sight picture, and they put the bifocal clear down in the corner so you can read the scale on the vernier, yet doesn't get in the way when looking thru the sights.

RE: Shooting glasses
I have been using Knobloch Frames & Accessories shooting glasses for several years now and they work great. They are fully adjustable so you are always looking through the center of the lenses where they are the sharpest for any shooting position. They look goofy because one lens is high and the other is low or one closer to the nose then the other Smile but they do what I want. I have changed the prescription that your local optometrist can grind. I'm near sighted so my lens is ground so I see the sights sharp and also the target is clear enough to see in fine shape and the none shooting eye I can read sight adjustments or I can put a magnifier lens in. http://www.champchoice.com/store/main.as...y&c=OPEYKN
