Balloon head 45-70
My metal detecting buddy dug up a balloon head 45-70 case. Flat bottom, international primer, no markings.

Found in Walla Walla, WA. Any idea of age?

Darn phone can't spell. Changed words and the proof reader didn't catch it.

Should have read internal primer.

I have a spot on top of a ridgeline in my pasture, that over looks a number of teepee rings, that has several piles of those spent cases in a line , much like a skirmish line.
