My second oldest son helped me load and patch around 40 rounds of 50 2 1/2” 473 this morning. I have to admit he probably went threw an extra 15 patches to get completed but like I told him, practice makes perfect.

Thanks Don. We really had some good fun this morning. He never gave up or got frustrated even though he wrecked several patches. He was feeling kinda guilty for using so many patches up so he asked me where I bought them and if they were expensive. I said no buddy, I make them, and you can use as many as you need too. That mde him feel a bit better.

RE: Hunter
Haha I will. He asked me why I could patch so good. I said well hell, I’ve been doing it longer then you’ve been around.

RE: Hunter
Stephen I been reading your posts working with the boys over the years. My 10 year old granddaughters has taken an interest in shooting the last couple years and she is doing well with the 39 marlin. She has been with me foe a couple days when her Mom and Dad are down in Kentucky looking for a house and she was watching me load for the upcoming shoots at Baker and the Quigley and last Saturday I was patching some bullets and she asked, can I help ? I said sure so I gave her some bullets and patches and she started patching Smile A short while later after several torn and rumbled patches she said, poppa I cant do it as good as you do it and I said well that's because your left handed and I'm right handed. Do it the opposite way I do it, turn the bullet around and try it that way Smile a while later she said tnx poppy that works better LOL Well this morning when she was back home I re did them Smile
Keep at it Stephen it's time well spent.
