Midwest BPCR championship Alliance
Made it to Alliance but had to leave my rifle home, so took camera instead. Had a good time with Dick, Lee, and Gary. Did some spotting for them and learned a lot about reading the wind from Dick. He has been on a roll the last 2 years with his 45-110 C. Sharps shooting paper patch. Have known Dick and Lee for a long time and met Gary down in cactus land last spring. Those guys shot well!

Does your camera still work after that shot?

Had to use a bore brush and some Hoppes #9 on it to get it all cleaned up Smile

Here is a pic of the covered firing line at Alliance. They are extending in both directions soon I have heard. Nice range!

Rick, Sorry I did not make it. It's been to long since I shot there. It is a very good range and shooters that attend it.
I will do my best to make the sage match this year.

Dick and that 45-110 and the patched bullets sure have come to a good understanding that's for sure.

RE: Midwest BPCR championship Alliance
One thing about Dick is that he is really promoting the sport of BPCR by mentoring other shooters over the years. Gary, who was high scope at Alliance was also high expert at Boulder City. Dick has been helping him and several others for a few years now. Gary has not been shooting BPCR for very long. Dick took me under his wing some years back and taught me more than I can remember, and still doesSmile I have also been fortunate to have many other BPCR friends who have also taken time to help me along the way including Kurt.

Back when I was outfitting buffalo hunts I would take clients out to shoot my Q targets after the hunts were over. I introduced a lot of new shooters to BPCR and many ended up buying their own Rifles.

If every shooter would mentor one beginner, our sport would grow exponentially.

Dick has racked up a lot of top or near the top showings the past few years, and I suspicion he is still getting betterSmile
