82 gr. of 1 1/2 is what I've been using in the 90 with greasers, 84 with patched.
Had one shooter that does quite well tell me he found 81 gr. of the 2 f with a greaser money bullet to shoot very well.
Looking forward to seeing what your results come up like.

RE: Old E
Nuting to brag about, all 4 groups were horizontall at 200, from 2.5" to 4". The rdnck always said "if its "H" drop the charge, vert, add powder". So, tomorrow is another day.
Smallest group was shot with wiping w/ one wet, one dry NAPA 6:1 and BR-2s in the back-end. All bullets did NOT engage the rifling, so I'll set 'em out next time also.

I really think 2f is too fast for the 90, but there are some who make it work. Also you may want to change to the rp 9 1/2 primer.

I haven't heard of this before and wonder about it's validity. I've always thought horizontal was caused by inconsistent trigger control and grip. So I'm going to drop 3 grains on the 45-70 and see if the "H" is affected. As soon as we get a windless day in WY...

RE: Old E
Michael There might something to the horizontal with velocity. I know from shooting the .22 rim fire a standard velocity will drift less in wind then the HV will. I don't have a clue if this carries through the BPCR or not. When I get the horizontal or oblique strings I blame it on fat fingering

Don I will stick up for the 2F OE in a 90. It has moved me up to triple A in 5 matches with very few chickens to help. Still trying to figure out how to sprinkle salt on their tails to keep them from moving. And since OE came out the 2F OE has done well keeping my in the top 15 or better at the Q and the MT 1000. Maybe it's the PP bullet over the GG I cant say, but I like it.

Last weekend I used 1.5 OE on Saturday instead of 2F at the silhouette match at Alma MI. just for a try and I shot a 24 with just 2 chicks and Sunday I used 1.5 Swiss and shot a 23 with two chicks but I only got one for record because I shot one out of turn and the conditions where perfect Sunday, couldn't get better conditions but I could not connect any better with the Swiss.
The reason a dog has so many friends is because he wags his tail instead of his tongue.

RE: Old E
Today was a different day, with groups smaller. Went with BR-2s again, with the bullet touching the rifling. Took Dons advice about the powder chg. and dropped it to 81.0. First 3 tore one hole, then that wiping thingy ain't 'zactly workin' real good yet and got one about 3" left. Then #5 went about 1" left of the first 3, for a 1.5" group a 200.

The wiping has been one wet 2.5" cotton patch wet w/ NAPA 6:1 mix, with the first patch being pretty draggy to shove thru, then the 2nd one goes right thru. Then I switched patches to 2" arsenal patches, wet with the same juice, wala, goes right thru on first shove, really easy on 2nd patch. Could be wetter patches though.

So my venture into wiping continues ......

Jim wiping with greasers, I've found pushing a single extra damp patch with the napa oil at 7-1 , on a nylon brush works the best without going to the BACO bore wipers.

Just don't be screwing with that load you have for your 110.

RE: Old E
Jim-Put enough 'E' powder in to compress about .350.
For me in my .45-90, that's 85.0 gn by weight, with my PJ C'moor bullet.
I run a Br2 also.
Use a paper coffee filter 'wad' over the primer(bottom of case)before load'n powder. The target will like it.
I also use a .060 fiber wad.
