2017 Wyoming Draw Results
The Wyoming Game and fish has been good to me this year. I finally drew a type 1 antelope tag in my favorite area, two left over antelope doe tags, a deer tag and a type 1 elk tag. My oldest son drew a antelope doe tag and a type 1 elk tag. If all goes well we should end up with a couple freezers full of fresh meat.

I had my hip replaced last Wednesday so I'm in full recovery mode now. Getting stronger everyday so I can once again walk the hills and prairies of Wyoming with out pain.

Be blessed all.

Thanks Dave and Don. I still have a long way to go but I haven't had any back pain since I took my first steps a couple hours after surgery so I'm half way healed Smile....

Outstanding Stephen

Timing should be just about right to be in great shape for hunting season ?

The physical therapy folks can be heartless but they get positive results. ?

Yes it should Dave. They said I will feel damn good 3 months after my surgery. I should be kicking ass and taking names by October.

I have never had a surgery in my life. It just amazes me what these doctors can do and how fast the body heals. I've had chronic pain for 30 years, never complained just did my thing. To be just a hair over a week post surgery and can already feel myself getting stronger is very satisfying. There is pain but it is not the pain I use to have so that excites me.

Hi Stephen. I'll certainly send critter pics
I need to make a ranch trip befor the month ends hog hunting is ok in the morning but by 10am it's just too hot to be fun. So it's fiesta time then

Stay after the therapy it hurts but it will get the job done

Stephen, congrats on the drawings! Sounds like you will have meat for the winter. Good luck with the rehab on the hip. It is no fun for a while but well worth it in the end. Looking forward to some pictures and stories of your hunts! Rick

Thanks Rick. I'm on week six of recovery and couldn't be happier with my outcome. I went back to work on lite duty three weeks ago. Everyday I get stronger. For the first time in 30 years I don't have hip pain, I'm still amazed how well I feel. I'm in muscle building mode now at therapy. I don't need a cane anymore and have been out shooting multiple times with my oldest son this summer. It feels good to feel good. My hip won't limit me this hunting season and I can't wait to head to the hills.
