Eclipse
Some folks have heehawed my decision not to attend the BPTR nationals this year due to the proximity of the dates to the last in my lifetime total solar eclipse. Wyoming EMA/DHS has been estimating 600000 people into the state, and our local county to recieve 30K+ visitors. I figured those numbers might be a bit high, but after reading todays mail,, maybe not.Confused

RE: Eclipse
Jim it's August 21st. It will hit the Oregon coast sometime in the early morning, and be over us between 11 and noon Mountain time. There is at least one website that gives it's path, and times, I don't have a link to it , but you should be able to google up 2017 Eclipse and find more info than you can shake a stick at.

RE: Eclipse
Heck Don you can see the eclipse at Raton just as well. No sense missing the Nationals for this. It will only last less then a hour the Nationals fun will last a couple days Tongue
The reason a dog has so many friends is because he wags his tail instead of his tongue.

RE: Eclipse
No it won't be visible from Raton. The shadow is only about 100 miles wide, and we will be directly under the path. We'll have about 3 minutes of absolute darkness.
Beside's all that the WHP is expecting 85,25, 20 and 26 hi ways to be nothing but a massive parking lot.
There's a good chance I'll live long enough to go to another nationals, there is zero chance of another total eclipse for me.
