For you folks
in the southern Mississippi Delta for this month in my yard we topped slightly over 15" of rain as of today and it's still raining. Coming back from the Mayo clinic up in Minnesota crossing the Mississippi at La Crosse Wis. the rollers at the Dam where up dumping water and I saw no dirt the trees where standing in. Flood stage at La Crosse is 12 foot and right now it's at 11.65'. Flood stage at Fulton Il just down the road from me flood stage is 16 feet and it's at 14.3 and rising expecting to hit 17 feet by May 31. The Illinois river at Ottawa is 3 feet above flood stage.
I hope all will be well for you down river from us.

19 feet stage at Hannibal next Friday, have to put nets out on Monday when I get back from Effingham. I love fishing the flooded timber when the river is HIGH!

"19' @ Hannibal", I better ty the jon-boat to the front porch. Flood-stage here is 16'. Actually, the river would need to rise another 50 ft. to get us, LOL. Good luck to those along the river bank and down-stream, as there are many.

We could surely have used some of that water but it just makes the grass grow and then you have to mow it. With all that grass, Rick, how do you get time to shoot?

Shooting is PRIORITY!
In addition I've got a 72" John Deere Zero Turn mower than makes mowing a breeze!! Westerners don't cut grass! They're so damn proud of that dead looking crap they've got.....they let the cattle eat it! And I will say that that 'dead looking crap' makes for some fine looking cattle on the hoof!! Looks dead....but high high in protein!! Makes fat elk and deer as well!!
