45-90
Is a full set of 45-90 dies required if a person is loading 45-70 ? I use a Vickerman seating die for my 45-70 and will work for any 45 cal case. Will my expander die from my 45-70 dies work ? Or just get a FL sizing 45-90 die ?

RE: 45-90
Randy, the only size die I use for both 45-70 and 45-90 is the Lyman short neck size die. I have it set for the 45-70 and use 2 7/8 inch washers for spacing when running 45-90. Works great! Use the washers for the 45-90 too.

RE: 45-90
Due to the difference in case length it's best just to get a set of 45-90 dies, saves a ton of fiddling around.
