Sub Norma .22
Has any of you shot the new Norma subsonic .22 ammo yet?
I have always preferred using subsonic velocity .22 for match ammo over the HV because I anyway find the subsonic less effected by wind then the HV ammo. I think this stuff is a little over 900 fps from what I have read but accuracy is reported to be very good.

I think the velocity may be a bit low to stay stable at the ram line.
Seems the best velocity in the standard 16 twist rifles is something around 1050.
But it mostly comes down to if a rifle likes brand x ammo or not.. Interesting how picky these 22's can be.

I think I'm going to get a brick and see what it's like. I have two cases of norma match that will hold me for a spell but your right about some .22's tend to be fussy. Nu Win low wall is a little picky and the 52 win is even worse but I just can't say this about my CPA I haven't found anything it won't shoot.
I don't know what it is with my rifle maybe the heavy barrel or chamber the fast lock time this rifle has it just shoots anything I feed it. Those little silhouette targets yo gave me a link for I shoot at 50 yards as well as the round targets they are about at the limit of my eye sight the Star target I shoot at 130 yards and that group is under an inch using fed bulk ammo. The round targets were shot with Norma Match the critters 30 year old Rem target standard velocity.
Now I just wish I could do that off hand Smile

My CPA is pretty finicky, it's favored ammo is the Norma Match. It will shoot most stuff decent but the Norma Match is the best of the bunch near or far.
