Longrange, You will probably need to ask Shiloh such questions. The new pistol grip might have a different "curve" to the trigger plate than what your gun has. Also, they'd be the ones to know what stock prices are. Shoot sharp, Mike

Thanks Mike, Was hoping someone had done this allready. Toying with the idea of changing out barrel and fitting a 50/90 so would require a better stock combo. Vic Aust. 11:00am and temp 26c.

RE: Will it fit?
I did this a long time ago and the stocks were not the same There were only minor differences, but most notably the angle of the action on the rear was different this is critical for accuracy. Also the lock was slightly different and I would of had to flass the holes and gaps. .
I have changed a new stock out with a new rifle but even that wasn't a perfect swap. They are pretty much a custom fit.

Your best bet would probably be either to cut that stock off and put a flat plate or recoil pad on it. Or get a precut blank from Treebone carving and fit it to that action.

RE: Will it fit?
Vic you might want to contact Hatchers Rifle stocks here in Aus as I heard recently he has a good quality stock copier ( pentagraph ? ) and is making up stock blanks for various actions. His main inventory is obviously bolt actions but his website suggests he's open to queries about custom work. You'd have to do or get the final fitting done but the initial profile and inletting would be done for you. I'd be getting forend and butt done so they matched . He lists English walnut as his main timber. Just a thought . Other than that, I would have suggested Treebone carving also.
