first time PP
I purchased a 45-2.6 a while back. When i received it I took the fore arm off it is a Shiloh that was originally a 45-2.4 crossed out and stamped 45-2.6. After shooting it my brass which is Starline that came with it, OD is .490 and the ID is .468 This ID seemed large to me. I have never Paper patched before,so I was wondering if the chambering is different for this? I have some stuff I ordered from BACO to try. I gave him my Dimensions and he said that he got me as close as he could but it seemed a few thousands small. Can someone tell me what size I would need as far as paped thickness and OD of bullet? Any load info would be greatly appreciated.

I think you may have a problem gun. .468 is awfully large for a Shiloh chamber. Also the chamber stamp should be on the top flat of the barrel not under the forearm...
At those dimensions I don't think you'll be able to paper patch that one.

Did a casting today. It appears to be 2.690 up to the lead from the bottom of case.

What about the diameter at the lead?
