Shooters in the St. Louis, MO area
Looking for BPCR shooters in the Southern Illinois and/or St. Louis, MO areas.
Been out of the sport for several years and it seems my old shooting partners have died off or lost interest.
Looking for people who take the sport seriously and love the sound of those soft lead bullets hitting a Ram followed by that slow motion fall.

Visit here;

They hold silhouette matches and regional NRA shoots. Lots of BPCR shooters there.

Effingham is another place that has a monthly Silhouette match too as well as Friendship Indiana

RE: Shooters in the St. Louis, MO area
Thanks guys, I have been a member of the Bench Rest Rifle Club of St. Louis for several years. I used to shoot their matches regularly but have been out of the sport now for a while. Last I heard, the interest at the Bench Rest Club was way down for BPCR matches. I suppose I could just show up on shoot day and hope that there would be another shooter looking for a partner?
I also used to shoot at Effingham, but I think the last time I shot there was just before the "bullet in the lake" incident. I have not seen their new improve setup. If Effingham was a little closer I would join that club too. I always liked their facility, nice club house and skeet range, besides the BPCR/long distance range.
The reason I was asking for shooters on this forum is that I prefer to shoot with the same person each time, if possible. It takes a little while for the shooter and spotter to read one another and a good spotter can make an average shooter something more than average.

Robert
I would like that but I take off the last week in May for Baker and the Quigley and I wont find my way back home till late summer or fall.
I would like to make Cadillac MI for their midrange match the last weekend in May but this would make it very tight to make for taking off for Baker. I would have to reload also before leaving here.
They put some baffles on line to keep the bullets out of the lake at Effingham but I see holes shot through them. I don't know how effective they are
