RE: Frontglobe Insert for Silhoutte Targets
seems that the Post are the better choice for me
Right there is the answer to your question. While folks can all tell you what they use and like, in reality we all see thru the sights differently and are comfortable with different sight pictures. In the end it comes down to what the shooter sees as best.

Klaus.

A post or blade that matches the diameter of the target with a 6 o-clock hold withy just a little white below the bull or target works for me.
The round apertures give me problems when it's overcast, this limits me seeing through a floater in my eye. It even makes it hard to see that fine white line above the post but it works better then the round apertures. Besides that is what I used most of my life so I get along just fine with them.

Are you, Roland (Boss Gun) and Andy (Carpenter) going to make the Quigley this year?

RE: Frontglobe Insert for Silhoutte Targets
Klaus on the aperture thing, I think folks try to use one that is actually to small. I know I tried to get by with the smallest one thinking it would give me more precision, when the opposite actually happened. So during your trials try an aperture that gives a good bit of "light" around the target, and let your eye center the target in the hole.
I like the posts altho they can disappear, and at longer range it is very hard to hold the exact same spot and give a bit more vertical on the target that will affect scores on paper especially.

RE: Frontglobe Insert for Silhoutte Targets
a good aperature size to start with is one that id about 3 times the target size , it gives you a sight picture that will have an easy view to center the target in ,
while maybe not perfect it is a good starting place
