Finally got the fliers done. Many thanks to Kenny Wasserburger for his advice on our One Mile set up. Mark Lund and I are surely lookin forward to seeing you folks.

It's the only rifle I have with sights that will reach that far.

We'll stretch a point for you and call .44 larger than .40. Of course, you can shoot your .44-77 but the question is, do you have enough elevation on the staff? I will look at my rifle and tell you what my come up is to put my bullets on the target. Back to you in an hour or so.

Dave I don't have a tang sight that has enough elevation to reach a mile. I figure on using the 77 with the Lawrence barrel sight with the blade. I used that rifle at 1585 yards and still room to slide the slide up more on the ladder. A mile is just less then 200 yards more.
We shot this Buff at Rowdy Ricks place in the sand hills at 1585 yards and I used the barrel sights on the .44-77. It took a few shots till I found it but the wind was up a little.
Rick has a nice range set up like the Quigley. Here is the buff we shot at.

If you can get to that 1585 Buffalo with room to spare on your staff, you should be good. My 200 yd set is 62 minutes and a mile is in the 425 area for my .45-70 with 530 gr bullet over 70 gr 2Fg.

Come early and practice up.
