Carols lowall
Finally got a moment to get out with Carol and her new C Sharps lowall.
Got it fitted up with the DZ scope. Went thru the targets getting sight settings, started with the pig swinger then went to the ram.
She was shooting the SK Rifle match ammo the Winchester liked so well. When she got to the rams she swatted the swinger twice and said I'm going. I asked if she was sure she said yup, and proceeded to lay 7 of them down, then for some reason her glasses fogged over and she couldn't see causing the miss on the last 3. I asked what was going on, and suggested she took the glasses off, she picked those 3 misses up with 3 rounds.
Then she set in on the Turkeys and 8 of those went down. I think she got to pushing the shot a bit.
9 of the pigs went down in a heap.
So there we were she had shot a 24 and hadn't got to the chickens...
I'm thinking if she keeps up with that rifle and gets more settled in with it, she'll be shooting master class in short order.

Hey Ranch, Please tell Carol I said, "Some doin's!" The only thing my .44/40 low-wall could beat her at is that mine is (or should be) louder than her .22. Shoot sharp, Mike

Thanks fella's. She's pretty proud of that rifle, she said yesterday, "it really was worth all that money"

Did not have a camera with us yesterday, but when we went to check the target after shooting the canoe paddle, stopped by the 22 rams to see just how the group was on the swinger. The combination of her , that rifle and the SK match is going to be a tough one to beat. Those sighters on the ram were less than 2 inches apart. Went down the line, and all she knocked over on the first go, if those hits could of been transposed into a group, the group would of been something around 2 inches, and certainly not over 4... That's at 200 meters... (225 yds, for the unwashed)...The ones she shot that were still standing after the 10 shot string the group would of went under 2 inches...
