It should work just fine. I had a rifle with just a Ivory bead once and it looked great in low and bright sun.
Next small gold picker I find I will make a replacement blade for my Hartford.

Went out this morning to chrono some loads while the light was good. That front sight was just perfectly set for elevation it shoots right to the sights at 1 and 200 yds. I'm pretty happy, and am now ready when we get back from Ekalaka, can just slide the globe out install the Ivory blade and them elk's best beware come the morning of 9/15.
