RE: New casting furnace?
Well I guess the RCBS pot would be the best. ive got a 30 caliber ammo can full of ingots of Linotype. I use to be able to lift it. But now if I want to move it I have to use a hand truck. I also have about 200 lbs of wheel weights. I cast for all my handguns and rifles. Except my so called assault rifles.

Howdy Kurt
Magma makes a master caster that is 45# pot .
I've had one since 2003 an I have 50 Plus molds for it an love it.
I don't like casting but I bought in self defense .
I can run through a pot in 1-1/2 hrs ,that 25 lbs. of bullets an I have about
10% throw backs.
The pot sets above you ,your not leaning over the pot Breathing any fumes good or bad an there is not any heat .
You say it a rich mans pot, well the way I see if you can afford 3 or 4 Shiloh
Rifles you should be able afford to feed them.
Look at as an investment , I paid $600.00 in 2003 today I know I can get $900.00 ,you almost never see one used for sale

Smile Ed I'm a tight wad by mature but if I see a good product and need it I will get it with a lot of procrastinating first Smile

I have a couple friends that use one and I know they like the way it works.
The reason a dog has so many friends is because he wags his tail instead of his tongue.

Ed-Do you use it as as a bottom pour or ladle cast?
Didn't see one on the site for dedicated ladle casting.
