Trying something new on an MVA scope
I bought the scope for hunting and it's possible some of that hunting could be in bad conditions. So....

Here's what I did to it. First I put a double wrap of electrical tape around it where the reticle is adjusted (open hole). Second, I greased the threads on the ends. Last, I have enert gas (Argon/CO2 mix) that I use and inserted the nozzle in the end and purged out the air and quickly screwed the eye piece back on.

It's fairly warm right now and not raining. I'm hoping that if it gets cold, I won't have any fogging issues by doing this?? Rolleyes

RE: Trying something new on an MVA scope
I tried using my 23" MVA last year. Impossible to see through at dawn and dusk....Might be OK in the middle of the day from a good tree stand or shooting house.
