2015 BPTR National Championship
It's in the books. The wind gods at Raton as usual made folks want to sell their rifles and take up something simple like mumbly peg...
Barry Ranney and his crew did a darn good job of executing the match. It's my belief that Barry only continues to improve in his job as match director, and we shooters need to help him where we can.
The Whittington Center needs their collective butts kicked and kicked hard for the deplorable conditions they have let the Tubb range fall into.
I would encourage all of you to find a bptr match nearby and give it a go.
Don't worry if you haven't shot one before, there are provisions in the rules that allow you to take your sillouette or highpower classification right into bptr... I know one shooter that did take his b class sillouette and enter as a marksman. He had a good time and left at the end of the week with a greater appreciation of accurate loads, good fouling control, and the importance of good wind and mirage reading skills. I think we'll be seeing more of him in the future, and I suspect he won't be staying in marksman very long.
A wise man can always be found alone. A weak man can always be found in a crowd.
