Doves in south texas
Afternoon folks, Caleb and i spent the weekend at the ranch hoping the doves would co-operate, sadly the recent rains here moved them to greener pastures---------so we'll wait for the next cool front and hope some fresh birds move in.

In the meantime we had blind and feeder maintenance to get done and so spent the day saturday getting those chores finished up.

After a good nights sleep we made a quick run to the food plot to see what might be having breakfast-----We found 4 acres of hogs !!!!!!!!!!!!

After s brief stalk Caleb put down an 80 pound sow with one shot thru the computer with his Henry 22 lever rifle-----DRT !!!!!!!!!!!

Pretty nice start of the hunting season and pretty good shooting Smile

Hope everyone has fun afield this season---------be safe

He did very well Stephen-------------these critters are pests here and we shoot'em whenever they present themselves---------the hams are curing as we chat here.

How the bow hunt ?
