It's been a tough year of hunting. This was my longest kill with a Sharps, 50 2 1/2".
287 yards with a wind right to left 20-30 mph. I aimed at the front of her chest and the bullet passed through her liver. She ran 50 yards, laid down and expired within a couple minutes.

Great picture of the young'un!.
Just not sure when or if I'll go after elk. I do have a type 6 for here at the place, that is good until the end of the year, so maybe if they get to coming around I might get a chance at one of them..

Now that is good shooting on your part in that kind of wind. Not the easiest kind of shot to make, but you did well w/ it. Your helper looks like he has a lot of enthusiasm for that project, too. Looks like you had fun together.
