Do you have a drawing of the dimensions of the 44 2 5/8 sbn?
I guess I may as well look at all of my possible options. I really want to go the paper patch route and this chamber just isn't what I was hoping for. As was stated before I could have it set back and re-chambered. It's 34" now plus the stub, I planned on wiping with PP and saw the extra weight of the 34" tube as a plus and fouling control wouldn't be much of an issue with wiping.
